Cost guide

How much does Invisalign cost in Canada?

There is no single price that applies to every patient. The final fee depends on the case, the treatment plan, the provider and what is included in the quote.

Why the price varies

Clear-aligner fees can differ because treatment plans differ. A short alignment case is not the same clinical problem as a case involving bite correction, multiple attachments, longer monitoring or additional refinement stages.

  • Complexity and number of planned movements
  • Length of active treatment and follow-up
  • Records, scans and diagnostic needs
  • Refinement and retainer policies
Clinical noteOnline information can help you prepare questions, but only a licensed dentist or orthodontist who has examined you can determine whether a treatment approach is appropriate.

Compare what is included

Before comparing clinics, ask for a written breakdown of the treatment package. Two clinics can quote different numbers because one includes items that another bills separately.

  • Consultation and diagnostic records
  • Aligner treatment and routine monitoring
  • Additional scans or refinement aligners
  • Final retainers and replacement options

Insurance and financing

Some dental plans include orthodontic benefits, but eligibility, lifetime maximums and age restrictions vary by plan. The clinic can usually help you understand what documentation may be submitted, but your insurer determines coverage.

  • Confirm your orthodontic benefit directly with the insurer.
  • Ask whether the clinic offers payment plans or third-party financing.
  • Do not assume the entire treatment will be covered because orthodontics appears on your plan.

Price is only one part of value

Treatment planning and monitoring are clinical services. A fee comparison should consider provider fit, communication, access to follow-up and what happens if treatment does not progress exactly as planned.

Questions to take to a consultation

  • What is the diagnosis you are treating, not just the cosmetic concern?
  • Who will design and monitor my treatment plan?
  • What happens if the teeth do not track as expected?
  • Are refinements and retainers included in the fee?
  • What alternatives should I understand before deciding?
